Brandan Bassett
Account Executive/Consultant
Relationship Builder. Steady Presence. PCC Family.
If you want to understand Pine Cove Consulting, you don't start with technology, you start with relationships. And few people embody that more than Brandan Bassett.
Yes, Brandan is a proud girl dad of three (ages 12, 10, and 3), that means busy weekends, loud gyms, and learning skills like doing competition-ready hair. But at his core, whether at home or at work, Brandan is someone who shows up for people and sticks with them.
That consistency has defined his 17-year journey at Pine Cove Consulting.
Seventeen Years of Building Trust
Brandan joined Pine Cove after reconnecting with Brandon Vancleeve, a college football teammate from Montana State. What started as an opportunity quickly became a long-term commitment, not just to a company, but to the people it serves.
"I'm more driven by relationships than by the products I sell," Brandan says. "That's always been what matters most to me."
Over the years, Brandan has worked with school districts and organizations not just as a vendor, but as a trusted partner. Many of the people he works with today are the same ones he met when he first started at Pine Cove.
These aren't transactional relationships. They're the kind built over time — through challenges, tough conversations, problem-solving, and mutual respect.
"When we see each other," Brandan says, "it's a hug, not a handshake."
What Brandan Does at PCC
As Pine Cove's most tenured Account Manager, Brandan plays a critical role in maintaining long-term client relationships. He meets regularly with managed services customers, ensures commitments are being met, and helps clients plan ahead from budgeting and replacement strategies to avoiding surprises altogether.
His goal isn't just to fix today's problem. It's to help clients feel confident about what's coming next.
"I want people to be able to move through their day without technology getting in the way," he explains. "And I want them to trust that we're doing the right thing for them, not just the easy thing."
That mindset aligns closely with Pine Cove's culture: doing what's right, even when it takes more effort, and valuing long-term trust over short-term wins.
Why the Work Matters
Brandan sees firsthand how critical technology has become, especially in schools.
From reliable day-to-day systems to protecting sensitive student data, he understands the responsibility that comes with the work Pine Cove does. For him, it's about reducing friction, increasing stability, and helping educators and staff focus on what matters most.
"Nothing's more frustrating than when technology doesn't work," he says. "And nothing's more important than protecting the information of kids."
Outside of Work
Outside of Pine Cove, Brandan's world revolves around his family and three daughters.
A lot of his time is spent supporting whatever season they're in — traveling, cheering from the sidelines, and making sure they have the same kind of experiences and memories his parents made possible for him growing up. Showing up matters to him, and he's intentional about being present for both the big moments and the everyday ones.
In the middle of a busy schedule, Brandan also makes time for a short daily reset at the gym, which is a way to recharge so he can be fully there for the people who count on him most.
He's also known for something simple but meaningful: telling the people in his life that he cares about them, often and openly.
"If I were gone tomorrow," he says, "they'd know exactly how I felt about them."
That same openness and sincerity is what clients and teammates experience every day.
One Word to Describe Pine Cove?
When asked to describe Pine Cove in a single word, Brandan didn't choose "job" or "career."
He chose journey.
Because Pine Cove hasn't just been where he works, it's been where he's grown, built lasting relationships, and spent most of his adult life alongside people he genuinely respects.
And that journey is far from over.
