Mike Baldacci
Technical Account Manager
A Teacher at Heart, A Builder of Relationships.
Before Mike Baldacci ever worked in technology, he was a fifth-grade teacher.
That experience still shapes everything about how he approaches his work today.
Spending time in the classroom gave Mike a firsthand look at the daily realities educators face. He knows how much teachers rely on technology and how quickly a lesson can unravel when something does not work.
"When tech doesn't work in the classroom, there's a level of panic," Mike says. "I remember that feeling. I've been there."
That perspective is one of the reasons Mike feels so connected to Pine Cove's mission. Supporting schools is not just a job for him. It is personal.
Built Around Relationships
At Pine Cove, Mike serves as a Technical Account Manager and works closely with school districts across the region. His days range from solving technical issues to helping district leaders think through long term technology planning.
But for Mike, the real work is about relationships.
He spends time getting to know the people behind the technology. That includes superintendents, principals, IT staff, and teachers. He wants to understand what matters most to their schools and communities.
Sometimes that means helping a district plan its next device refresh. Other times it means sitting down with leadership to talk through future goals and budgets. And sometimes it simply means stopping by an office to check in.
"Being able to sit down with a superintendent and have a quick conversation about how things are going is important," Mike says. "You build trust that way."
Many of the districts Pine Cove partners with rely on trusted guidance to help navigate complex technology decisions and long-term planning.
Mike takes pride in helping those communities move forward with confidence and making sure the people leading those districts always have someone they can call when they need support.
A Life Built Around Family
Outside of work, Mike's world revolves around family.
These days that means spending time with his grandkids. He currently has four of them. The two oldest are energetic three-year-olds who love running around outdoors and swinging golf clubs whenever they get the chance and two who are just a few months old.
Mike lights up when he talks about them.
He is the kind of grandfather who is always building something, fixing something, or dreaming up the next project that will make time together even more fun. Creating spaces where family can gather and kids can explore is something that matters deeply to him.
That is part of what inspired the project he and his wife have been working on for years.
On a 350 acre piece of family land that has been passed down through generations, they are building what Mike calls their dream barndominium. What started as open land has slowly become a place designed for family weekends and future memories. There are camper spots, a small golf setup, and plenty of space for projects that bring everyone together.
The newest project is a playground for the grandkids.
When a nearby park replaced its playground equipment, Mike volunteered to take the old set and rebuild it on the ranch. Soon the kids will have their own place to climb, slide, and play whenever the family gathers.
"It's peaceful out there," Mike says. "Wide open, quiet, and a great place to spend time together."
Mike enjoys the process of building things that last. He and his wife share a love for construction and real estate and have spent years flipping houses and working on projects together. The ranch is simply the biggest project yet and one designed with family in mind.
It reflects the kind of person Mike is. Someone who invests time, energy, and care into the people around him.
The Pine Cove Culture
When Mike thinks about Pine Cove, one word comes to mind.
Unity.
"We're united in a good goal," he says. "Everyone brings ideas to the table and we're all working toward supporting our customers."
That mindset reflects the way Mike approaches both his work and his life. Relationships come first. People come first. The goal is always to build something meaningful that lasts.
Whether that means supporting school districts across the region or creating a place where his grandchildren can run around and play, the purpose stays the same.
Helping people and building community.
